Christmas has come early here at Crosscut HQ! With video production moving at such a rate, we think that it’s incredibly important not to get left behind (that, and we also get to play with shiny new kit…). We’re constantly looking to improve our services and offer the best video production services at an affordable price.
It’s very exciting to say that last week we made a significant investment in our latest kit update which includes Canon’s latest addition to their digital cinema-line cameras – the C200. The C200 is one powerful bit of kit, allowing us to shoot 4K video in both Mp4 formats (for fast turn around content) and RAW (for high-end shoots). As well as the addition of 4K, the C200 allows us to film slow motion at 120FPS (that’s 95 more frames per second than we usually film) so that we can capture those all-so-trendy, dramatic super slo-mo shots that everyone loves.
We have been working with our C100 for the past few years and have absolutely loved it. Now demoted to ‘B-cam’, the (still very high end) C100 works along side the C200 extremely well when finishing in HD – allowing us to increase the quality of our work even more and continue to deliver exciting and dynamic video content to a whole host of businesses and organisations.
Now, it would be silly to invest in this lovely new camera without treating it to some lovely new glass, so we’ve also upgraded our lenses which will ensure we can make the most of the C200.
