We were approached by the team at Wonky Veg Boxes to create a film that centres around a poem, written by performance poet and writer Jess Green. The poem is called “Mountain of Parsnips”, and focusses on the excessive amount of food waste that goes on around the world.
The brief was to create a high quality film with natural sound design, where Jess reading the poem is centre stage and everything else complements her poem. Using our latest addition to the Crosscut Media team, the Canon C200, we filmed the footage in flat 4K as well as the cutaways in HD Slow-Motion 120fps. Shooting flat meant we had so much creative control during the editing process and allowed us to make the colours as vibrant as possible.
It was a great project to be a part of, and everyone at Wonky Veg Boxes and Jess Green were amazing to work with. To get in contact about your project just drop us an email!
