The inspiring story of Alice Hawkins‘ was brought to life on Sunday the 3rd of March with an incredible video projection which was mapped onto the back of the Corn Exchange, Leicester. Alice Hawkins was a leading English suffragette among the boot and shoe machinists of Leicester and went to prison five times for protests as part of the Women’s Social and Political Union militant campaign.
Shared Space and Light, the company behind the projection, approached us to capture this amazing event. Filming events is one of our specialties, and we spend the weekend filming the rehearsals, as well as all 3 of the performances on the Sunday. We also produced a 2 minute video overnight for Big Difference Company who also helped organise the event.
It was an amazing project to be a part of! With massive congratulations to all of the companies that worked together to pull off such an stunning show.
