A fund raising campaign aimed at getting new and emerging stand up talent an opportunity to perform at the Leicester Comedy Festival. We have been a part of the project since it launched in 2018, it has lead us to interviewing established comedians such as Tom Allen, Suzi Ruffell and Dane Baptiste, as well as the up and coming comedians taking part in Circuit Breakers. This year we spent time filming with the comedians as they took part in networking events and a photoshoot, before filming their entire sets in front of a packed crowd at Peter’s Pizzeria.
With the money that is raised for this project, the comedians receive travel to stay in Leicester, food, a photoshoot with legendary photographer Andy Hollingworth and the opportunity to perform 2 sold out nights at Peter’s Pizzeria compered by Mark Dolan. It was great interviewing all of the comedians, getting to hear what their aspirations are and what their background is. It was also great to film and work with Andy Hollingworth, getting to see behind the curtain at how a great studio photographer works. The filming and editing together of this crowdfunding video was great fun, and we can’t wait to see how the fundraising campaign goes!
