Here at Crosscut, we have been working in the theatre sector for several years now. We produce a wide array of content for theatres including content for electronic press kits (EPKs) such as production trailers, rehearsal trailers, cast interviews, voxpops and more.
We have also produced a number of TV spots for shows in our time as well as full-length theatre shows specifically produced for digital distribution. Archiving is also a really important service we offer, however our archiving services include multiple cameras and direct sound feeds rather than your run of the mill fixed camera at the back of the auditorium.
Working with theatres has deepened our knowledge of the theatre world and we understand how things work. That’s why we remain open and flexible on all projects so as not to impact the number one priority – the show. We’ve worked with grass roots theatre companies through to large producing theatres, as well as assisting agencies with their national tour campaigns. Our team are self-confessed theatre junkies and so we’re passionate about producing the best content possible for productions whilst ensuring the creative language is kept intact throughout.
With allocated time slots for shoots such as Tv adverts and production trailers, we ensure the shot list is pre-selected so that the cast can break and the theatre can be reset before the evening performance. Along with this, we are able to map out steadicam movements to allow Dan to move in and around the performers without disturbance; with the added intent of shooting longer takes.
