Holovis International are designers of immersive and mixed reality solutions – which means they design and create virtual reality, software, interactive puzzles and much much more. We were approached by Holovis to create a brand new showreel that Holovis can show off at the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) in Orlando, Florida.
A showreel should have the perfect blend of being eye catching and engaging whilst all the time showing off the level of work that you do. After a couple of meetings in their Leicester office speaking about Holovis and gaining a real insight into the company, we were given all of the footage of their products, experiences and technology – so we could create a real eye catching showreel.

As Holovis is a diverse company, which offers modern solutions to a very eclectic range of industries, boiling all of that down into a 2 and half minute showreel required a lot of planning. Using a combination of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro, we put together a fast paced showreel that uses the high-tempo music track to drive the video and influence the speed of the cuts.
An additional part to this project was that at IAAPA, the showreel would be shown on 6 screens (2×3), so we had to create two versions of the showreel, one which is the standard 1920 x 1080 (HD) and the other which is 3840 x 2160 (4K) with black bars at the side so the aspect radio would be correct.
It was great to work with Emily and the team at Holovis to edit together this video showreel of their work, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
