Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Art Reach on an exciting project that supports and celebrates Leicester’s creative talent. The Impact Network for Creatives (INC) is a new initiative providing vital support and development opportunities to cultural professionals and creative practitioners across the city and we were brought in to help tell that story.
From October to March, ArtReach brought together a cohort of local creatives and immersed them in a dynamic programme of events and support. These included cultural trips, one-to-one consultations, networking sessions, training workshops, and peer-led learning sets- all designed to connect, inspire, and develop the region’s creative voices.
Our role was to produce a short film that not only documents the journey of the INC programme but also captures the heart of what it has meant for those involved. With that in mind, we let the cohort members lead the narrative. Through a series of interviews with artists, producers and creative professionals- alongside ArtReach team members Jo and Lynn- we heard first-hand how the INC network has impacted their practice and built a meaningful community.
As always, we wanted the tone of the video to feel authentic, polished and full of momentum. By weaving together interviews with cinematic footage of the events and activities- from vibrant workshops to intimate one-to-ones we were able to showcase each strand of the programme while keeping the voices of the creatives front and centre.
This project reminded us of the power of storytelling in building community- and how video can help amplify that impact.
Huge thanks to Art Reach for bringing us on board, and to every INC participant who shared their story with us.
