Earlier in the year, the Market Harborough based charity VASL contacted us regarding creating videos that explained not only their My Mind Matters campaign but also some other key information they wanted to get across to their audience. VASL (which stands for Voluntary Action South Leicestershire) support and bring together volunteers and community groups across the region. The My Mind Matters campaign is aimed at helping people to cope with their mental health; giving advice, tips and support to people.
To get these tough and sensitive issues across, it was felt an animated video would be the best suited medium, to not only tackle these issues, but to make the video engaging with a wide audience. Everything from the images, to the music, to the colour of the text was chosen to help share the My Mind Matters message, and to hopefully inspire some people to talk to VASL about their campaign. Creating animations is a process, with quite a bit of work being put in before we can even open up After Effects. 3 scripts had to be written and amended before a voice over artist could be narrowed down and booked. Then the animation process can really begin, with feedback coming from VASL at each stage we created a dynamic looking animation which will capture the attention of our clients target audience.
We were not only commissioned to create a video for their My Mind Matters campaign, but also an animated video for their Top 10 Tips To Feel Good, and Where To Go For Help To Feel Good In Harborough.
It was great to work Maureen, Jo, Debbie and the whole team at VASL, and we hope to do so again very soon!
